WHAT I DID

For todays shoot I wanted to try something different which I have never tried before. I decided to make four moving images (short films) instead of taking photographs. I put these all into one video on the app I movie because I was not able to upload more than one video on this blog post. Seeing as todays theme is Rule of thirds, I used edits and effects which replicated each side of the video; showing how symmetrical it is which links to the grid method of rule of thirds. I also made sure to position an imaginary grid when taking these videos. For a lot of these I used flowers as the focal point which sits in the centre of the videos which would result in it sitting in the centre box of the rule of thirds. I also made sure to include a foreground, middle ground and background so the lines would sit perfectly and look pleasing upon the eye.

INSPIRATION

Todays shoot wasn't inspired by anything in particular. However my classmate Maisie has produced moving images for the past couple days and I loved hers therefore wanted to try it out for myself in my own way. I think its really important to inspire others and gain our creative skills via our surroundings; weather that's work we see of others around us or a movie, book, song etc.
