WHAT I DID

For todays shoot we were told to take photos of anything involving shape; weather that's to do with the editing process or the pure photos we decide to take. I wanted to try this by pursuing both edits on photoshop and natural photos which I just edited partly to up the saturation and sharpness. I like the way the fruit and flowers contain different shapes within their own shapes. I made sure to chose a variety of unique shapes, textures and colours to make these photos more interesting. To edit these photos I made the background bright contrasting colours which I knew would work well with the colours within the shapes. I also felt this complimented the negative space and made it stand out more instead of all the attention being on the focal point.

INSPIRATION

for todays shoot I was inspired by the American photographer 'Bobby Doherty' who photographs mainly food of bright saturated colours. He positions his food and other elements to make them repeated shapes and patterns which is why I was inspired to do todays shoot. I love the colours and negative space as well as the shapes shown I his intricate, funky work. here are some photos which influenced me most.
