WHAT I DID

For todays shoot we had to take photos shooting through something, weather than an object or perhaps even a person if you look at it in different perspectives. I decided to shoot through these wine glasses and capture the reflections of the other glasses through the foreground. To do this, I taped black paper to a desk and the wall behind it. This worked well for my background because the black contrasted against the white highlights and sheerness of the glasses; making them stand out more. Although the main aim of todays shoot was to look through objects, I made sure to still position my camera in different angles; making sure i'm shooting above the glasses as well as close up and far away to the glasses so my photos all vary from eachother.

INSPIRATION

For my inspiration I went onto Pinterest and found a couple photos which inspired me to do this shoot of wine glasses. I loved the way the reflection was shot through the glass and how you can see them lined up neatly decreasing in size and changing in pattern. The photographer 'Alexander Scott Edwards' shot the first image which I love because of how neat and muted it is. The second image is shot by the photographer 'Julien Miquel' which i love because of the placement and strong highlights captured with the contrasted background.
